We are pleased to announce the recent accomplishments of three esteemed colleagues within our organization. Monique Barberis (left), Dr Hendri Kruger (middle), and Jean-Marie Koch (right) have completed their postgraduate degrees in their respective fields of study. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence are commendable, reflecting their aspirations and their contribution to our collective pursuit of knowledge and professional growth.

With her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering determination, Monique Barberis pursued an Honours degree in Education, Law and Policy. From the beginning, she knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of learners and students, and her time at SANTS has only solidified that passion. We congratulate Monique on her extraordinary achievement.

Jean-Marie Koch completed her Masters degree in Visual Arts Education. Her study explored how first-year Visual Arts education students perceived creativity. Jean-Marie has a flair for creativity and a passion for design. Armed with nothing but a pencil and a blank canvas, she transforms her ideas into works of art, captivating audiences with her unique vision and attention to detail. Jean-Marie’s journey has been one of self-discovery and growth as she learned to trust in her abilities and embrace the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Congratulations, Jean-Marie, on this exceptional achievement.

Dr Hendri Kruger completed his PhD in Computer Integrated Education. In his thesis, A Conceptual Quality Framework for Online Distance Education in a South African Higher Education Context, he identified key elements and proposed practical solutions for higher education institutions navigating the intricate landscape of transitioning administrative, teaching, and learning processes to an online format. With a knack for problem-solving and a keen interest in educational technology, Dr Kruger’s research can potentially transform online distance education in South Africa. Despite facing numerous challenges, he never lost sight of his goals. He hopes that the study will positively contribute to the Higher Distance Education environment in South Africa. Congratulations, Dr Kruger, on this momentous achievement.

Monique, Jean-Marie, and Dr Kruger represent the essence of perseverance and resilience. They have overcome countless obstacles, navigated uncertainty, and emerged victorious in adversity. However, their journey does not end here. As they stand on the cusp of a new beginning, they carry the lessons learned and the dreams fueling their aspirations. Let us take a moment to celebrate not only their academic achievements but also the incredible individuals they have become. Let us applaud their courage, passion, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

To Monique, Jean-Marie, Dr Kruger, and all SANTS Private Higher Education Institution graduates, as you step out into the world, remember this – the road ahead may be challenging, still, with determination, perseverance, and a steadfast belief in yourself, there is no limit to what you can achieve. We look forward to seeing the impact you will make in your respective fields and the world at large.
