CTICC Youth In Action Bursary Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: CTICC YOUTH IN ACTION CAREER EXPO

  1. One (1) bursary will be awarded to one eligible applicant who attends the Youth in Action Expo at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on 4 or 5 August 2026, visits the SANTS exhibition stand, downloads the SANTS Prospectus, starts their application at the stand, and is subsequently accepted to study at SANTS in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The competition is open only to individuals who:
    • Attend the Youth in Action Expo on 4 or 5 August 2026;
    • Visit the SANTS exhibition stand during the Expo; and
  3. The bursary is available to applicants applying for one of the following qualifications:
    • Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education;
    • Diploma in Grade R Teaching;
    • Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching; or
    • Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase Teaching.
  4. To qualify for entry into the bursary draw, applicants must:
    • Attend the Youth in Action Expo on 4 or 5 August 2026.
    • Visit the SANTS exhibition stand during the Expo.
    • Download the official SANTS Prospectus by scanning the designated QR code available at the SANTS stand.
    • Start their online application at the SANTS stand during the Expo using the official SANTS application QR code or application link provided by SANTS.
    • Meet the minimum admission requirements for the qualification applied for.
    • Be accepted to study at SANTS for the applicable intake.
    • Pay the applicable application and registration fees within the prescribed admission deadlines.
  5. Only applicants who comply with all of the above eligibility requirements and are accepted to study at SANTS will be entered into the random bursary draw.
  6. The competition closes at 23:59 on 5 August 2026. No entries received after this time will be considered.
  7. The bursary will cover two (2) consecutive academic semesters, subject to the recipient meeting the academic progression requirements set out below.
  8. The bursary includes tuition, prescribed study material, assignments, examinations and academic support for the two academic semesters covered by the award.
  9. The second semester of the bursary is conditional upon the recipient successfully passing the first academic semester and meeting SANTS’ academic progression requirements. Should the recipient fail the first semester or not qualify to progress to the second semester, the bursary will terminate after the first semester.
  10. The bursary is not transferable, may not be exchanged for cash and may not be deferred to a future intake.
  11. Should the recipient defer, cancel, interrupt or withdraw from their studies at any stage, the bursary will immediately be forfeited.
  12. Applicants receiving a full bursary or sponsorship from another organisation for the same period of study are not eligible for this competition.
  13. Employees of SANTS Private Higher Education Institution and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  14. If any information supplied by an applicant is found to be false, misleading or fraudulent, SANTS reserves the right to disqualify the applicant or withdraw the bursary at any time.
  15. The winner will be selected by means of a random draw from all eligible applicants who have complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  16. The decision of SANTS regarding all aspects of the competition, including eligibility and the selection of the winner, is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided during the application process. Should the winner be unreachable or fail to respond within seven (7) calendar days, SANTS reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
  18. By accepting the bursary, the recipient agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities relating to the competition, including photographs, video recordings, interviews and testimonials, without additional compensation.
  19. By entering this competition, applicants consent to SANTS processing their personal information for the purposes of administering the competition and communicating with entrants in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
  20. SANTS reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel this competition or these Terms and Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary.
  21. By entering the competition, applicants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
